The suspension of registration imposed on Janashakthi Insurance PLC by the IBSL in respect of Long Term Insurance Business and General Insurance Business in terms of section 18 of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act, No. 43 of 2000 with effect from 12 noon of 12th May 2009  has been removed by the IBSL with effect from 2 p.m. of May 27, 2009, in terms of Section 18 (4) (a) of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act, No. 43 of 2000 after Janashakthi Insurance PLC having shown sufficient cause to the IBSL.
