  1. Determination 12 – 31/05/2011
    Section 49 (b) of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act, No. 43 of 2000 – Quarterly Returns of Insurers

    Every insurer shall, for every quarter commencing from the first day of April 2011, furnish to the Board, its quarterly returns in accordance with the revised Quarterly Returns Formats ( revised to be in line with the amendments to the Solvency Margin Rules) enclosed herewith.

    Such Returns are required to be furnished to the Board within forty-five days after the end of each quarter.

    Further, insurers who are required to report on a monthly basis are required to use the revised Quarterly Returns Format enclosed herein from the 01st day of June 2011 and furnish to the Board within such period of time as directed by the Board.

  68. The Insurance Companies are required to submit the Quarterly Returns for the each quarter ended, by the deadline of forty-five days from the end of the respective quarter.

The insurance Companies are required to submit their Annual Statutory Returns (Annual Returns & Life Insurance Actuarial Abstracts) on or before 30th June, for the year ending 31st December of the previous year as required in terms of Determination 05 & 06 of 2002, made under section 47 & 48 of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act No. 43 of 2000.

  70. As per the Gazette Notification No. 1412/30 of 29th September 2005, the Insurance Broking Companies are required to submit the Quarterly Returns for each quarter, which are due within forty-five days subsequent to the end of the quarter.

  81. Registration of Palmers Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd. has expired on 20th October 2009.
    The company has failed to submit its renewal application. Further, the company is prohibited from functioning as an insurance broker with effect from 21st October 2009.

  82. Applications of the following insurance broking companies have lapsed since they have not submitted the renewal applications as at 31st December 2008 and accordingly such companies are prohibited from acting or holding themselves out as insurance brokers with effect from January 01, 2009.

    The company has informed that they have ceased to function as an insurance broker since 31st March 2009.
