Abolition of tariff on motor insurance

As was mentioned in the previous notice that was published on 27th August 2001 the tariff restrictions on motor insurance which had been in existence for many decades, will be lifted with effect from 1st January 2002 enabling insurers to offer competitive packages and negotiate with their clients mutually acceptable terms, conditions and rates.

It is the responsibility of the public to ensure that the risks covered under the motor insurance policy obtained by them from the insurers satisfy their needs and the terms and conditions stated in the policy are acceptable to them. The policy holders should be aware of any restrictions, limitations or deductibles that may apply in respect of the policy.
