In terms of the provisions of Regulation of Insurance Act no. 43 of 2000 no person could function as an insurance broker without being a member of an association of insurance brokers approved by the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka.
The Insurance Board of Sri Lanka has approved the Sri Lanka Insurance Brokers Association as an approved Association of Insurance Brokers in terms of section 79 of the above Act.
