Purpose
This workshop aims to present insurance professionals and policy makers an opportunity to discuss how to extend commercially viable insurance services to the poor and low-income people.
Objectives
- Policy makers, Government authorities and insurance regulators will deepen the understanding on conducive policy and regulatory environment of micro insurance.
- Private insurance companies, micro finance institutions, and other insurance professionals will share and learn best practices to provide insurance services to the poor and low-income people.
- Donors and other sector specialists will exchange the ideas and enhance their knowledge on roles of donors as a facilitator of micro insurance.
Expected Outputs
Conference materials and reports by the resource persons.
Target Participants
Open to anybody. Expected participants include Government organizations, insurance regulators, insurance companies, donors, micro finance institutions, academics, and media.
